There are several ways you can send a sound to a contact
What you need to remember:
The format of Audiator Live commands
The cmd of the sound you wish to send
What do you need to do:
This method of sending sounds is by far the fastest provided you can remember the cmd
for the sound you wish to send. In your conversation window, simply type:
!al<cmd> [message]
Where <cmd> is the identifier for the sound you want to send, and [message] is the optional message you wish to send with it. If you do not provide a message, the default one will be used.
Example:
!alhello Hello World!
Will send the sound with cmd hello, with the message "Hello World"
What you need to remember:
The cmd of the sound you wish to send
What you need to do:
Actually this method is so similar to the previous it's almost cheating to put it in
its own category, but there you go. In the plus! menu in any conversation window,
you will find:
Plus! \ Audiator Live! \ send a known sound
Selecting this item will add some text to your conversation window message box, with the bits you need to change already selected. Simply start typing the cmd of your chosen sound, and a message if you would like a different one to the default.
What you need to remember:
The command !alsounds
or, where to find it on the menu
What you need to do: Open the Sounds dialog either using the command !alsounds in any conversation window, or by using the menu items:
Contact List window
Plus! \ Audiator Live! \ Configuration \ Sounds
Conversation windows
Plus! \ Audiator Live! \ Select a sound to send...
Once you have the dialog open, select a sound from the list. You may use the SoundPacks list on the left to filter the list of available sounds. If you would like to preview the sound before sending, click preview.
Once you have chosen your sound, click the Send... button. You will be presented with a list of all your currently open conversation windows. Select one or more conversations from the list, and hit OK. The sound will be sent to all selected windows immediately. You may now close the window.
