Help

One of the strengths of Audiator has always been that you can import SoundPacks - collections of sounds made by other people which you can download, and install in one go. This page will walk you through the process of installing a SoundPack.

Extracting the SoundPack

A SoundPack is basically just a zip file. Firstly, you must extract the zip file directly into the Audiator Live! script directory. This is usually

C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\Scripts\Audiator Live!

but it may be different on your computer (if your version of windows is non-english for example). This should be a relatively trivial exercise.

Open the Import Dialog

You can directly send the command

!aldatabase

or use the menus (on either the contact list window, or any conversation window)

Plus! \ Audiator Live! \ Configuration \ Database

to open the Database dialog. From there, click the Import button.

The Import dialog, showing a SoundPack ready to import

If you extracted the SoundPack to the proper place, and it is a fully valid pack, then you should see it in the drop down list box. The list will show all available SoundPacks that have not already been imported. Once you have selected a pack to import, just click OK.

If for any reason the SoundPack you wanted to import is not listed, then either you extracted the zip file to the wrong location, or the pack itself is invalid. To check, make sure that all logging options are ticked, try the import process again, then visit the Log Viewer on the Other tab to find out why the pack was not found. If the pack is invalid, an error will be shown in the log. If there is no mention of your pack, then it was not found, and you probably extracted it to the wrong place.

If no new SoundPacks were found, Audiator Live! will show a warning, and the Import dialog will automatically close.
