SoundPack

What does it do:
This list contains all of the available SoundPacks in your database. This is the SoundPack you would like to add this new sound to. It will be preselected with the name of the SoundPack chosen on the previous dialog, but if you like, you can change it here.

Name

What does it do:
This box contains the name for your new sound. It must not be blank, and must not be used by any other sound in the database.

The name attribute of a sound is what is used to identify the sound to play to your contacts, so if they add this sound too, they must also use the same name.

Command

What does it do:
This box contains the command for your new sound. It must not be blank, and must not be used by any other sound in the database. This is the part that goes after the !al when you want to send the sound (unless you use the menus to send all your sounds of course).

The command attribute of a sound is only used to send it, so if your contacts add this sound too, they may use a different command if they prefer.

Filename

What does it do:
This box contains the path to the sound file. It must be relative to the Audiator Live! script directory. Usually it will be of the form

Resources\SoundPack name\filename.mp3

You can have the same file for more than one sound in the database.

Audiator Live! can play any sound file format that is handled by the Plus! custom sounds feature.

Preview

What does it do:
Clicking this button will try to play the file listed in the Filename box (number 4). If the sound plays, then you know the path you have typed is correct. If the sound doesn't play, either the path you typed into the Filename box is incorrect, or the file is not of a valid format.

Message

What does it do:
This box contains the default message that will be sent along with the sound to your contacts unless you change it at the time. It must not be blank, but you can use the same message for more than one sound.

Edit Sound Dialog

The Edit Sound dialog allows you to change the attributes of a sound in the database. You can also move a sound from one SoundPack to another.
